The frozen lake By lily

At Carey Park, our second activity was the rope swing. There I was, standing before icy water in my togs, on the board of doom. Rope in hand, ready to jump. "Come on you can do it, " I  chanted over and over in my head. When you see someone on the board, it cracks you up - but when you're up there, it's like standing at the edge of a cliff. "Here I goooo!!" Splash! As soon as I came up I swam to the side like a hungry mako and hauled myself up. "Oh man I missed it, go up and do it again Lily," shouted Miss Davies. But I didn't. I just sat there like I was being brainwashed, watching Braden have around about nine turns. After ten minutes I was back up there holding the rope.

"Five, four, three, two, one... ahhhhhhh!" Uh oh I forgot to let go and BAM I hit  the board. "Owwww!" then plop into the water. I felt something slimy climbing my leg like a staircase "Ewwww, an eel" I screamed but only bubbles came out. I swam up frightened  but never told anyone about it until now. So the moment I made it to the side I got  up on the grass and just watched Braden for the 50th time.

First he went up and did Tarzan and next thing you know he was screaming like a hungry hyena.
"Is that a gir?l" thought Miss Davies. She turns around and......
Braden flies out of the water like a shark was chasing him out
"I thought that you were a girl Braden"exclaimed Miss Davies I was laughing I almost fell into the lake it was so funny even the bush slide people were laughing almost every one in my group were laughing so after we recoverd we moved on to the more enjoyable activities such as problem solving & orienteering they are much more enjoyable because we diddn't freeze to death!
